Authorities sent the main suspect in Sana Yousaf’s killing to Jail for identification parade on Wednesday

On Monday, an assailant allegedly over a personal conflict shot dead a Tiktoker in Islamabad.

Two bullets hit Sana Yousuf and she passed away at the scene as the suspect got away. The dead person was taken to PIMS Hospital, the postmortem was carried out and after completing the necessary procedures, the body was returned to the family.


As given by sources, the verdict was delivered by judicial magistrate Ahmed Shehzad, who gave permission for an identification parade of Umar Hayat, the prime suspect.

He permitted the police to detain the suspect for 14 days after the 17-year-old Tiktoker Sana Yousaf’s murder.

Umar Hayat (Kaka), a 22-year-old man, was taken into custody by the Islamabad Police for breaking into a 17-year-old’s home and killing her by shooting her in an act of violence.

The Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the quick response from law enforcement. He posted on X, saying: “Good job to the Islamabad Police.” Within 20 hours, the Sana Yousuf murder was solved, the suspect was arrested and the weapon was found.

According to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the main suspect, Umar, hoped to be friends with the victim, Sana Yousuf. Because she kept rejecting him, he supposedly decided to murder her.
The IGP said, “The Sana Yousuf case has caused panic and concern in Islamabad and throughout the nation.”

It was explained by the police that seven different investigation teams worked and 37 individuals were asked questions as part of the investigation. Teams from law enforcement agencies carried out 11 raids across cities, including Islamabad and Faisalabad and the suspect was caught in Faisalabad.
They found his possession included the murder weapon and Sana Yousuf’s iPhone.

IG Syed Ali Nasir stated that Umar is a young man who passed matric and had repeatedly tried to reach the victim.
