Hezbollah is somewhat a monumental part of life in Lebanon. It is a political party as well as an eleven-year old armed group whose main job has been to fight Israel. Iran considers Hezbollah very important in the region and it’s another partner to help push back against Israel, as well against U.S. military state supporters. Losses like Nasrallah and now Safieddine are crushing but the presence of Araqchi in person and his words mean that Iran as well as Hizballah is not going anywhere.

Since 1992, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah was the leader of Hezbollah one of the best known names in the middle East. He was widely liked for doing what he could to defy Israel but most wished he was dead, especially in Jerusalem and along its western borders. In the final weeks of hostilities in Lebanon, a Hezbollah fighter was killed in September 2024 and before he could grow into his role Seyed Hashem Safieddine was also taken down.
