Duration: 50 Days (Islamabad to Islamabad)
Altitude: 8,047 meters (26,401 feet)
Departure Dates: June 15 – August 3, 2025 (example based on typical season)
Why It’s Epic: Broad Peak, or Falchan Kangri, offers a massive summit ridge nearly 2 kilometers long, with jaw-dropping views of K2 and the Gasherbrum massif. It’s a climber’s dream—challenging yet achievable.
What’s the Experience Like?

Broad Peak dominates the Baltoro Glacier in Gilgit-Baltistan and was first climbed in 1957 by an Austrian team, Fritz Wintersteller, Marcus Schmuck, Kurt Diemberger and Hermann Buhl who ascended the giants using no oxygen and no high-altitude porters which changed the ways of alpine-style climbing. It is today considered a coveted objective for anyone who plans for their first 8,000-meter at least. The voyage begins from Islamabad’s green vastness, continues to the picturesque Skardu, and finally into the wild by jeeps to Askole. After six days walking on the Baltoro Glacier, you will cross such camps as Paiju with nice pine trees and Urdukas with stone built terraces getting to Broad Peak BC at 4900 meters. From there, it is a month of stabilization at base camps at the altitude of 5700 meters (Camp 1), 6300 meters (Camp 2) and 7100 meters (Camp 3) and waiting for the right time to attempt for the summit. The West Ridge is not as tricky as other K2 routes but still quite steep that includes fixed ropes and incredible views of icy towers as well as K2 pyramid.
